This is an older book with a favorite couple. Thus, I began my audiobook journey of the series and loved every minute.

Private investigator and former cop Jackson Rivers needs the best lawyer to keep his brother from being framed for murdering a cop, and there’s no one better than defense attorney Ellery Cramer. But Ellery doesn’t realize what he’s being dragged into, and even though he wants to impress his crush, the constant danger almost overwhelms the intrepid duo.
This book was published a while back and I read it before and I am now listening to the audio. This is an introduction to a series featuring a memorable couple with continuous action, interesting characters, and a suspenseful plotline. I really enjoyed Greg Tremblay’s narration as he has become a favorite of mine in that he is super expressive and lends real emotion to his storytelling.
