Forbidden collab with age gap, boss/Employee, Femboy, amazing chemistry.
From the blurb:
Forbidden Paragon is an MM, forbidden age-gap, boss employee romance with size difference, staring a repressed femboy and a Hawaiian golden retriever he can't say no to.
Reen
Twisted Oak Valley wasn't supposed to be anything more than a job; the first stop on my new adventure. Until one unforgettable night with a fearless and magnetic, glitter-covered stranger, changes everything.
Then I walk into work on my first day and find my beautiful stranger in a tailored suit with guarded eyes that beg me to pretend like we've never met. The freedom he'd exuded is gone.
He builds walls instantly, but I'm just as quick to tear them down.
Maybe this town isn't just another stop along the way.
Maybe it's the entire adventure.
Mikell
I've spent my life fitting neatly into the role my father wrote for me: Responsible. Professional. Predictable. Hiding the parts of me that feel the most real. Then Reen Akana barges into my carefully balanced world.
He's intoxicating. No matter how hard I try to convince myself that getting close will only end in disaster, he draws me in anyway, refusing to see me as two separate entities.
He wants me. He want's all of me.
Around him, pretending becomes harder than telling the truth. And every stolen moment feels like another step toward the life I've always imagined.
This novella is a companion story set in A New Paradigm's universe, and follows Reen Akana (Reeze's brother) as he sets off on his own adventure.
It is not necessary that you read the other books in the series to enjoy this much faster paced, lower angst standalone. But if you're familiar with the other men in this series, you'll quickly discover that Reen is the odd one out amongst the 'older' in all the pairings. He's kind, confident, and doesn't hesitate going after what he wants.
Thera's review:
I loved these two together. This one was my favorite so far. I loved Mikell I loved the way he finally gave in. I wish it had been longer so we could see what his father thought and where that would go. I would love an extended version of this book.
