A really entertaining series with terrific narration.
From the blurb:
When the world believes the lies, who can you trust with the truth?
Vilified celebrity Jackson Young stands accused of a murder he didn't commit. Desperate to clear his name as the world turns against him, he finds solace in the unlikeliest of allies.
Journalist Fletcher Doherty, relegated to the gossip columns, is handed the most explosive story of his career. The catch? It's about Jackson Young, a man he's publicly condemned.
Forced to put aside their animosity for the sake of the story, Fletcher and Jackson grow closer with each encounter. But neither is prepared for the irresistible pull that lands them in bed together.
Yet, in a world where betrayal lurks behind every headline, who truly is the enemy?
Falling for his book's subject could be fatal for Fletcher. And Jackson knows better than to trust a journalist, especially one who's built a career on tearing him down.

Fade to Blank
Audio. First in series (London Lies). Adversarial to lovers. Hurt/comfort. Slow burn/no burn. Dual POV. Cliffhanger.
Jackson is a celebrity accused of murdering his girlfriend and he seeks the help of Fletcher, a young gossip journalist, to tell his story and perhaps prove his innocence. This book starts a trilogy with the same main characters so this story is really an introduction to the characters, their current circumstances and their initial interactions.
Fletcher and Jackson run into all kinds of obstacles and cannot fully trust each other which causes a rollercoaster of angst and drama. While slowly revealing more information about the murder and their individual backgrounds, there are glimpses of connection, but neither has the full story about the other. These characters are interesting and compelling, and their growing connection is swoony. The reader has to understand that this story will not be complete until the series ends.
Piers Ryman is terrific with distinguishing characters, accents, and emotions while narrating. So far I have really loved everything he has narrated.
Hide to Seek
Hide to Seek
Audio. Second in series (London Lies), must be read in order. Semi-established couple. Slow burn. Hurt/comfort. Dual POV. Cliffhanger.
Fletcher and Jackson have fled to Fletcher’s home in Ireland, still intent on writing Jackson’s story. Except their plans for privacy don’t last long as danger follows them and Fletcher’s family are now dragged into the conspiracy. Fletcher and Jackson finally get to a point where they begin to unravel some of Jackson’s story, but there was still a lot of mistrust between them which drove me crazy.
They finally reach a point where they give into their attraction and growing feelings but they still are struggling as outside people keep pulling them apart. The writing as usual with this author is exceptional but I struggled a little with how Fletcher and Jackson are not completely sure of each other during much of the book.
Piers Ryman’s narration as always is fun to listen to, gives each character a distinct voice and brings all the emotions to the forefront. Overall another great listen.
Bring to Light
Bring to Light
Audio. Third and finale in series (London Lies), must be read in order. Established couple. Dual POV.
Fletcher and Jackson are back in London still trying to piece together how deep the conspiracy surrounding Tallulah's murder goes as their lives further entangle. The story comes full circle and actually joins together both Fletcher and Jackson’s worlds which was unexpected.
There is still a lot of back and forth with Fletcher and Jackson as they are emotionally both falling hard but still have trust issues, and mainly we wait for Fletcher to be completely all in. I enjoyed how they got help from surprising places, but there were still a whole lot of awful characters that kept bringing them back down. Overall, an entertaining story but I did wish we got a chance to see them in the future together and what that looked like for them.
The narration was solid, as is everything with Piers Ryman, but I may be biased because he is a favorite of mine. He is consistent with his character differences and accents and brought a lot of feeling to the story.
