Feral (Mayhem Manuscripts Season Two: Cryptids) by Emmy LaRoux

FERAL is a part of the Mayhem Manuscripts season 2: cryptid combined authors series. This is a human and cryptid pairing.

From the blurb:

I bartered my freedom to escape a monster. I didn’t expect to crave the demon who now owns me.

Bellamy

Running from my powerful, abusive ex isn’t a choice. It’s survival. When his threats turn lethal, I barely escape. Bleeding and desperate, I stumble onto a dirt crossroads and beg a cryptid for a miracle.
He manifests from the shadows with striking blue skin, crimson eyes, and a terrifying aura that shatters everything I know. He offers a lethal bargain: absolute protection within his gothic manor in exchange for my total submission.
Locked away in his gilded cage, I’m entirely at his mercy. Vesper is a creature of strict rules, tailored suits, and a devastating, possessive charm. I know he’s a monster, but the forbidden heat between us is an addiction. Every wicked, breathless touch ignites a primal physical pull I’m entirely helpless to fight.

Vesper

This human should fear me, and yet Bellamy looks into my demonic eyes and demands a savior.
Only, my beautiful captive doesn't know my darkest truth.
Bound to my soul is a second, far more savage predator. And the vicious devil dog inside wants nothing but to claim Bellamy completely.

Feral is a full-length MM dark monster romance, and is part of the Mayhem Manuscripts Cryptids shared world collaboration.

Molly Otto's review:

Bellamy has always been drawn to the dark since the creature of the woods protected him in his youth. Which led him to Gregory when enough came to enough he fled to the woods that once protected him to beg for the demon to protect him once more. Vesper and his hound cannot resist the pleas of the human to protect him they must bind him to their home hidden from the man still pursuing to own him. They have a tentative courtship yet they cannot stay away from the bond pulling them together. Ugh everything about this story I loved the dark undertone with that right amount of sweetness showing how well they belong together. That ending hot damn pure perfection! Now can we all please annoy the author for a Killian and Oakley story! Those two deserve their own version of a HEA stat!
