A beautiful story about acceptance, support, love, and embracing every version of yourself and others.
From the blurb:
Three years ago my wife and I completed our perfect relationship when the man we didn’t know we were looking for entered our lives.
Our days have been full of love and laughter while equally steamy nights often leave us gasping for lungfuls of air for a totally different reason.
Still, we can both feel him slipping away, hiding something big. And when it bubbles to the surface, it has the potential to tear our relationship apart.
But then, a flyer for a body liberation workshop catches my attention on the community board of my tea shop. And with it comes renewed hope for our broken partner and for our relationship.
Angel's review:
Amity is a new-to-me author, this is my first foray into their writing and I have to say I'm impressed! They have a really poised way with their words, as I was reading this I was almost awed by the way these characters were written. Yes, this is a romance book, but it's also so much more than that too. It's about how paramount communication is in a relationship, how having trust in your partner/s within your relationship is important as well as love leading the way even through change.
I adore Kai, Eleri, and Brynn, and I also adore the relationship they have. Throughout this story you can feel the love they have for each other come through the pages, and it's really beautiful to see a healthy and positive representation of a dynamic poly relationship with so many nuances to it. Often times I feel as though poly isn't written as realistically as it could be, but with this, it felt as though I could be reading about a real poly relationship, with ever changing dynamics. I liked how when their wants/interests/needs changed, they made sure to communicate that with their other partners when they were ready to share. I found that really beautiful to read about!
All in all a great short story and I am looking forward to reading more by this author!
