Unhinged Little Angel is the 3rd in the Mafia Bound series. This is Sal and Dante's story, and while it's an unconventional start, it moves along at a good pace. A bratty dancer forces a dangerous mafioso into providing some protection but gets in over his head when growing feelings can't be denied.
From the blurb:
Forcing Salvatore Moretti to marry me at gunpoint isn’t the craziest thing I've ever done...
I hate being desperate, being scared. It's a filthy, helpless feeling. I'd much rather be enraged, violent… unhinged.
Salvatore watches me dance and calls me Angioletto, his little angel. He doesn't know the demons that haunt me. He's too blinded by my beauty to see the blood on my hands. Then again, he's a mafia capo, so maybe the blood wouldn't bother him anyway.
My past is like fire licking at my heels, ready to consume me. But Sal won't let that happen, he’ll protect me. He has to.
I learned a long time ago not to trust anyone but myself. It's dangerous the way he manages to unravel all of my defenses and turn me from a guarded Dom into the submissive brat I've never felt safe enough to be. It's terrifying the way I'm starting to crave him.
I wasn't sure I would live long enough to worry about this marriage starting to feel real, but this well-dressed mafioso might just manage to save my life after all. We can argue about divorce once the threat is neutralized I suppose. And in the meantime, he is my husband, I might as well enjoy the perks…
SNik's review:
Third in series (Mafia Bound), best if read in order. Light D/s. Fake marriage. Dual POV.
Dante is a force to be reckoned with as a hard-as-nails stripper, not letting anyone make him a victim, but desperation makes him turn to the handsome mafioso Salvatore in order to hold an old enemy at bay. Salvatore is playing the long game, he wants Dante and is willing to wait patiently for his chance to break through Dante’s walls, but maybe being kidnapped and “forced” into marriage has Dante playing right into his hands.
I really enjoyed both these characters, Dante and Salvatore are both strong willed, independent, loyal, and willing to face danger to get what they want. When they are on page butting heads, these were my favorite parts, Salvatore never tries to break or take advantage of Dante, and the slow trust that Dante allows himself to feel makes their relationship so much deeper than just lust. With a protective mafia guy with style and the fiery dancer that doesn’t back down as the main characters, this was entertaining, steamy and such a fun read.
Rogue's review:
- mafia
- dark themes
- series
This is Book 3 in the Mafia Bound series, but can be read as a standalone. This is Dante and Salvatore's story and I really enjoyed it. If you have read the previous books then Sal and Dante have both appeared but I really enjoyed this chance to get to know them better. I liked Dante and Sal separately very much, and together even better. I liked that Dante was fierce and stood up for himself, but was also open to Sal taking care of him. Sal is way overprotective of Dante, but not smothering.
This is still a dark story, set in the mafia world so it's not all sunshine and roses at all. There are some dark themes and of course violence but at the core of it, it's a love story with two people finding each other, albeit in the darkest of circumstances. I actually couldn't stop reading once I started it, and almost read it in one sitting. This was fun, hot, yet oddly sweet too and I loved it.

Molly Otto's review:
Dante, a stripper who works for one of the Moretti family's establishments, has caught the eye of Salvatore for as long as he can remember. But the feisty man has dark secrets of his own that he fears will make them never truly trust him. When things get desperate, Dante takes the situation in his own hands to become deeper in the Moretti organization. These two have a chemistry that is undeniable and fighty all at once. They would burn the world down for each other and fight each other how to do it in the same step. This series is a unique step away from KM Neuhold usual magic, and yet you still feel her voice in the writing. A beautiful balance of heat and humor with dark undercurrent.
