In the latest episode of Behind the Camera, we meet Heath and learn more about Loving Leo.
From the blurb:
I probably shouldn’t be in someone’s office that I don’t know, filming content for my site, but I quite like the view it affords me, and I really like that leather chair.
I like it even more when the owner of the office turns out to be my grumpy, buttoned up boss, and he catches me in the act. Literally.
He’s not happy about it, but he doesn’t leave, and I don’t stop.
Suddenly, he’s around all the time. Watching me. Taunting me. Teasing me.\
It soon becomes a game. A game only we play.
We are opposites in every single way. He can never be seen with someone like me, and I will never be enough for him.
But the more we are around each other, the more I want to give him.
Maybe we can see where this leads if our hearts don’t get broken first.
GreenwingReads review:
I have been waiting for more from this series and was so excited to get this newest installment. I really enjoyed the characters, especially Leo. Heath was great too, though I didn't feel the connection with him as strongly. There were plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and steamy scenes, as I've come to expect from Nicole and Cora. Overall, I enjoyed the story quite a bit.
This one did feel less connected from the rest of the series because Leo isn't entrenched in the main friend group with Carter, Bennet, Jasper, and Damien. So there wasn't as much from the previous characters as I would have liked to see.
Cora and Nicole are a dynamic writing team. Usually, their books are seamless and I can't distinguish their author voices. Over the past year or so, I have noticed that Cora's style has changed somewhat in her solo releases, and I picked up on that here too. I felt like I could guess who wrote what, but it still worked together well.
The plot was also a little rushed. There were a few places that things happened off-page that I think would have been better or more impactful to the story on-page. The ending also came and went very quickly.
I think Damien's story will always be my favorite of this series, but I enjoyed this one too and will continue to pick up anything Cora and Nicole work on together.
Heather's Review:
This was an interesting story with truly interesting characters, but for me it felt disconnected from the other cam boy stories...
I enjoyed getting to know Leo and Heath and watching Heath's bisexual awakening, and the office scenes were definitely fun. I found the pacing good until the end - which felt a little rushed, but overall the story was fun and memorable.
I look forward to the next story in this series!
