Ethan isn't happy about being stranded at a hotel in Canada, no matter how luxurious it is. But when he meets Jake sparks fly, and he finds something he's been missing if only they can take a chance.
From the Spice Me Up blurb:
ETHAN
Getting snowed in a day before important business negotiations is my idea of a living nightmare. And to make matters worse? Since I am stuck, my PA decides to clear my schedule for an entire week so I can ‘take some time off and relax’.
It’s pure hell. I don’t know what to do with so much free time.
Until the luxury hotel’s chef-in-training decides to save me from my suffering. He’s tall, hot and surprises me at every turn. I’m not good with his type. But it’s hard to stay away from him when being bored is the alternative. Besides, a quick fling never hurt anyone, right?
JAKE
Ethan is my dream man. He’s sexy, grumpy and a total workaholic. He’s also some important CEO who’s way out of my league.
But when has that ever stopped me?
He’s stuck here and doesn’t know how to have fun. That’s perfect—I’m the best distraction around here. Plus, I’ve got a few recipes that need test-runs. And if things get a little heated, well, you can’t blame me for it. It’s totally mutual.
Only, I never expected it might be hard to let Ethan go once I’ve gotten a taste of him.
Spice Me Up is a low angst Christmas romance novella that features snowed in, grumpy/sunshine, spice, sweetness, a grumpy workaholic who discovers there is more to life than work, and a sunshine chef-to-be with big dreams and irresistible smiles. It is Book 2 in the Love Takes No Holidays series and follows Ethan, Charlie’s brother. It can be read as a standalone.
SNik's review:
Second in series (Love Takes No Holidays), but can be read as a standalone. Novella. Close proximity. Low angst. Slow burn. Dual POV.
An unexpected forced vacation for CEO Ethan has him unbelievably bored until he begins spending time with the hotel’s chef in training Jake. While Jake is okay with hookups he wants to seduce the handsome and serious Ethan in what little time they have together.
Ethan and Jake share a series of romantic dates that lead them to falling for each other fairly quickly. They are sweet together and it was easy to see how much each of them wanted to make something long term work between them. I appreciated that there was no drama and that there was plenty of spice once they were committed to each other. A cute, quick read.
