The second book in the Espen Jetties series, Breaking Through the Bond gives us a best friends to lovers story that unfolds when they find their third...
From the blurb:
Two teammates whose lives were intertwined. For Kingston Walker and Hayes Garner, they lived and breathed hockey while also spending their free time together off the ice.
Hayes feared the day King found the person of his dreams, leaving Hayes alone wishing things were different. When King brought home Jamie Deary, Hayes knew everything was about to change.
Most people believed Jamie was a trust fund baby with no future. Late nights, parties, he lived the playboy lifestyle. With a successful father and a famous brother, Jamie constantly lived in their shadows.
King’s heart was torn in two. He loved his best friend, but now he had Jamie in his life; he couldn’t give either of them up.
Breaking Through the Bond between Hayes and King wouldn’t be easy. Maybe by the time all was said and done, the bond wouldn’t be broken, but reformed to include all three of them.
Heather's Review:
Best friends & roommates who have been pining for each other get a chance to explore their relationship after realizing that as much as they want each other, they also want a relationship with King's new boyfriend...
This book combines instant attraction with a simmering romance that has been waiting to explode since book 1 (although the book can easily be read standalone if you are just looking for a steamy low angst MMM story). While there is some negotiation of the relationship, it's pretty smooth sailing and lets the three men explore during the hockey off season, where there's little relationship friction. It was a fun and steamy read.
Breaking Through the Bond is currently available as an e-book and paperback and can be read as part of your Kindle Unlimited Subscription
