Off Balance was simply put Outstanding, Fantastic, Phenomenal!! It's raw, gritty and realistic. Powerful!
From the blurb:
When Judah Madden flees his tiny suffocating home town in New Zealand for the dream of international ballet stardom, he never intends coming back. Not to Painted Bay. Not to his family’s struggling mussel farm. Not to his jerk of a brother. Not with his entire life plan in shreds. And certainly not into the tempting arms of Morgan Wipene, the older ruggedly handsome fisheries officer who seems determined to screw with Judah’s intention to wallow in peace.
But dreams are fickle things. Shatter them, and it’s hard to pick up the pieces. Hard to believe. Hard to start again.
And the hardest thing of all? Finding the courage to trust in love and build a new dream where you least expected to find it.

Off Balance was simply put Outstanding, Fantastic, Phenomenal!!
Judah fled his small town in his youth to become an international ballet dancer. But as he hits his prime, he is hit with Meniere’s disease.
He comes back home angry, full of self-pity and a self-destructive behavior. He meets Morgan a local fisheries officer. Morgan lost his wife five years ago and Judah makes him feel alive again.
The story was full of realism, they both had issues and insecurities. This a raw, powerful, and passionate love story about two men coming together.
This story will reach into your soul and leave it torn open! They both must make peace with themselves before they can be together.
It was full of heat and super steamy. Gay Furlong did a superb narration! This was my first listen by him, and it definitely won’t be my last! Overall, phenomenal!

I am officially a fan of audiobooks featuring New Zealand characters! Gary Furlong delivered an impressive performance for both main characters, perfectly pinpointing each of their personalities to a tee!
Judah and Morgan’s love story was beautifully picture perfect, comforting both from their past hurts. Jay writes a perfect story of coping with life after injury and loss, proving that there’s always someone for everyone!
