Adrien is an independent jaguar shifter making his living fighting and he doesn’t want to be tied down by anything, especially not a mate or pack. Rafe is a healer wolf shifter that has waited years since first meeting his mate, and letting Adrien choose is the priority even as Rafe protects him.
I really enjoyed this story of Rafe the mature patient caretaker and the feisty and also caring Adri. Both these men have big hearts for their found families and are loyal and determined in their own right. Every time they are on page together it sizzles, so there is plenty of steam as well as the inevitable fall which even aided by the mate pull also allowed Adri and Rafe to get to know and appreciate each other. The overarching plotline continues as the pack is fighting against the baddies in the territory where the danger is increasing as we head toward the series finale. Still super invested in this series and the Lunetti pack.
