Teddy (Elite 8 Studios Book 5) by Emmy Sanders

Accidentally married, oops, and now living together, another oops, Kipp can't believe Teddy is willing to go along with the marriage. But neither man realizes the strength of their mutual attraction, which soon has both men not wanting to pretend the marriage is fake anymore.

From the Teddy blurb:

Waking up married is bad enough. Having feelings for my husband? Pure disaster.

Teddy
I wasn’t looking for attachments. I certainly wasn’t looking to get drunkenly hitched to my coworker’s best friend, the very man I’ve been denying an attraction to for over a year.

The thing is Kipp is gorgeous and kind and a self-proclaimed mess, and now that we’re married—and living together—all I want is to take care of him.

But Kipp is only just learning about his submissive side. It doesn’t matter how good he is for me. It doesn’t even matter that he turns to putty every time I call him doll.

He’s not mine to keep. Our husbands-with-benefits relationship is temporary, and once we get divorced, everything will go back to the way it was. Kipp and I may have shared our I dos, but let’s face it…

Falling for the man who wears my ring would only end in heartbreak.

Teddy is a wake-up-married romance between a teddy bear adult entertainer and the hot mess he shacks up with. There’s caretaker-Dom elements and a gentle exploration of kink, spanking (but not as punishment), only one bed, plenty of lighthearted mayhem, and one very HEA. It’s book five in the Elite 8 Studios series but can be read as a standalone.

SNik's review:

Fifth in series (Elite 8 Studios), can be read as a standalone but might be more fun if read in order. Wake up married. Light BDSM/Daddy dom. Close proximity. Dual POV.

Well, Kipp certainly didn’t mean to marry hot pornstar Teddy after a night of drunken partying, and now he’s moved in and talked Teddy into keeping up the marriage for just a little while longer. Teddy doesn’t mind helping Kipp out, he actually wants to take care of him all the time that’s the problem, he doesn’t want to get his heart broken again and he knows falling for Kipp would be just too easy.

The absolute sweetness of Teddy introducing Kipp to embracing his submissive side and the ease in which Kipp trusts Teddy is super swoony. I really enjoyed Kipp’s completely unintended honesty at times, and Teddy’s acceptance of every piece of Kipp, both of them gaining comfort from the other beyond just the steamy times. There is definitely oodles of chemistry, and that Kipp and Teddy have found their special person that brings them happiness and love and support made this book such a great read.

Reed Kaye's review:

This is such a fun series. I'm always sad to read The End because I then have to wait for what’s next.
This story centers on Teddy and Kipp. These two have been somewhat dancing around each other until one party night things change for them. Teddy is such a caretaker person and Kipp is so much in need of taking care of. After waking up married and not knowing how to handle it, life plays out pretty funny for these two. They are so meant to be together.

I really enjoyed the mouthiness of Kipp and the startling way Teddy handles it all. So many hot scenes. There are a few twists to the story and families are created.

I especially love the epilogue. It is perfect and brought this warmhearted story to a hfn place.

Heather's Review:

I loved Teddy and Kipp's story!  Wake up married is one of my favourite tropes and I love how these two had such a push and pull as they start to actually get to know each other!  This book combined the sweet, the spicy, the caring and the angst really well and I just tore through it, cover to cover in less than a day, because I just couldn't put it down!  I especially liked the epilogue and the direction their HEA is taking!
