Conflict Mediation (Not So Normative Spin-Off Series Book 1) by D.C. Emerson

A short story that packs a powerful punch and an important lesson, a long with some dynamic characters I'm eager to see more of!

From the blurb:

This short story was originally released as a free short, no content has been added.

James was doing just fine at work, minding his own business and avoiding his long-time nemesis, Leon, at all costs. Unfortunately, upper management has other plans for them, and that’s how James finds himself spending a miserable evening at conflict mediation with Leon.

Leon has worked hard to get where he is today, and he doesn’t need his annoying coworker James ruining that for him. He’s ready to grit his teeth through conflict mediation if that means he gets to keep his job and go about his life.

Unfortunately, there must have been a mix-up in the office because James and Leon find themselves in a couples counseling session instead. Will they be able to get through the session with their jobs, and their grudges for each other, intact?

Conflict Mediation is a MM short story that kicks off the Conflict Mediation spin-off series.

Angel's review:

Since Halloween Mediation is about to release, (the second book in this series), I figured it was about time I finally read this one. This was such a pleasant short story, and while it may be short, its packed full of character growth, in depth emotional dialogue, and a very promising start to a budding relationship development between James and Leon. With how this left off I'm very excited to see where their relationship goes next and if they are able to grow their budding friendship further into something more.
