Matched (LSU Book 5) by Becca Steele

Nate is graduating soon, but giving his roommate's dating app a try is fine for the short term - until he's matched with a guy. Charlie wasn't looking to date a guy either, so they agree to become friends, but their compatibility begins to show them that happiness and love may be found where you weren't expecting.

From the blurb:

From USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Becca Steele comes a new standalone M/M college romance.

I signed up for the LSU dating app for a bit of fun. Meet a girl, have a good time… You know the drill.

Or that was what was supposed to happen.
An error in the app’s code means that my blind date turns out to be a man.
Not just any man, either. Nate Glover. The hot, popular footballer who’s a serial dater. Oh, and he’s straight too.
So am I. I think.

We start hanging out as friends. He introduces me to his sister. She’s cute and just my type.
But why can’t I stop thinking about Nate?
And why does he keep looking at me like that?
Like he might be interested in something more than just friendship.

Maybe we were matched for a reason, after all.

*****

Matched is an M/M new adult college romance. It is the final book in the LSU series. Each book can be read as a standalone.

SNik's review:

Fifth and finale in series (LSU), can be read as a standalone but there are quite a few cameos from the series so it might be more fun if read in order. Slow burn. Dual POV.

Charlie and Nate get accidentally matched on a new college dating app, but neither of them date men, and what starts out as an agreement to be friends becomes an attraction that starts to become too hard to deny.

It’s obvious by the way that Charlie and Nate get along at their first meeting that their relationship could be something special, their banter, similar sense of humor, and same interests have them at a comfortable and fun status almost immediately. I appreciated that this double bi-awakening was not rushed, their relationship builds over time to something both men want to experience together even if they’re not sure if it can last. When Charlie and Nate are on page together they are super sweet, and eventually super steamy, and the time they spend talking or texting really lends to the feeling that they know each other and can make an HEA work. Sad to see this series end.
