I love this series and seeing all the boys get their HEA's. I haven't read all the books yet, I've been jumping around as the mood strikes. The storylines overlap, so I haven't found that to be a problem.
From the Unfettered Vessel blurb:
How do you live when you are not supposed to be alive?
I took a bullet in the brain for my friends. An exchange I was happy to make.
But my friends are paranormals with magical healing skills.
So here I am. Healing physically.
Alive when I was ready for death.
At least my intended sacrifice worked. My friends and I are free now. No longer slaves in a billionaire's harem.
But I still need to allow my body to be used.
I'm a vessel. I absorb magic I cannot wield. I have to give it to a mage via intimacy.
My ever helpful friends have found someone.
A mage who is happy to live in a campervan at the bottom of the garden and only interact with me when I need him.
A transactional agreement. Achingly similar to what I was always destined for.
Except Monty is unlike anyone I've ever met.
He has never been with anyone before.
He is kind. He is gentle. He treats me with respect. He doesn't see me as an object to be used.
He just might be worth living for.
Unfettered Vessel is the sixth book in the Found & Freed: The Unfettered series, which follows the lives of seven paranormal boys after they escape imprisonment in a billionaire's harem. The books are best read in order but can be enjoyed as standalones. There are no cliffhangers and happily ever after is always guaranteed.
Unfettered Vessel includes, Hurt/comfort. First times. Strangers with benefits. Mutually beneficial arrangement. Trying not to catch feelings. A man with all the green flags.

GreenwingReads review:

This is the story of Pink, the human vessel for magic, and Monty, the mage tasked with emptying Pink of his magic as needed. That "emptying" requires physical intimacy between them and with everything Pink has been through, that poses a problem. His friends take care of him though and make sure to find someone who will be kind and treat Pink with the respect he deserves, something not often afforded to vessels in their society in general.
Monty wants to focus on his studies and avoid thinking about his family problems. He's happy to live in a camper van and help Pink when he needs him. But as they spend time together, the boundaries Pink puts in place begin to shift. Monty is the absolute sweetest. He wants the best for everyone and is truly loving, despite having grown up in a world that trade to make him anything but.
I thought the development of their relationship was really sweet and natural. I appreciated that it wasn't rushed and Monty never pressured Pink. Their HEA was hard won and well-deserved. There is a bit of a cliffhanger in that you don't learn what becomes of Monty's brother, a vessel like Pink. I was a bit frustrated by that, but I did see that he will get his own book in another series coming soon.
SNik's review:
Sixth in series (Found & Freed: The Unfettered), best if read in order. Paranormal. Hurt/comfort. Found family. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.
A solely mutually beneficial arrangement, Pink needs to have his magic emptied by a mage and his friends find an amenable mage to help. Monty is hiding from his family, but is soon to inherit, but avoiding his responsibilities while helping Pink becomes important to him even as both of them agree to business only.
However, time slowly allows Pink and Monty to begin to trust each other and rely on each other, and feelings inevitably start to grow. I really enjoyed the fact that this story spanned a large amount of time, allowing Pink to heal and find himself, and open himself to the possibility of something special with Monty. And Monty is beyond a cinnamon roll when it comes to Pink, he wants to care for him but also share ideas and a future with him. I always appreciate Rodman’s emotional stories with plenty of steam and supportive friends.
