How To Save Your Human Invader (Coveted Bonds Book 2) by Arden Fox

Book 2 in the Coveted Bonds series has another human omega arriving on Adelemar and though attempting a rescue is the reason he came, falling in love is the reason he stays.

From the How To Save Your Human Invader blurb:

With my weapon trapped at my side, the alien leaned in until it was inches away from my face. It inhaled deeply, its eyes drifted closed, and a tremor passed through its body.

“Omega.”

A strange feeling ran through me that made my heart trip over itself and every hair stand on end.

Bryce

Two years ago a human pilot was taken captive by the Alder— a ruthless and savage alien race. And now it’s my team's mission to rescue him. But when I’m saved by one of those ‘savages’ and stranded with him in the jungle, everything I thought I knew starts to unravel. My team is my family, the only home I’ve ever known. Failing them isn’t an option. But how can I resist Kitari, this mysterious and alluring alien who claims that I’m an ‘omega’, and offers me something I’ve never had—a place to truly belong?

Kitari

My life has always been about dull duty, so when a group of alien invaders crash deep in the jungle of my world, I can’t help but investigate. I have been ordered to stay away, but when one of them—a rare human omega—puts himself in danger, I cannot just stay hidden. Bryce is unlike anyone I have ever met—fierce yet vulnerable, strong yet kind–and brings excitement into my life. Can I resist this human omega? Or will I have to betray my own people to get what I want?

In this steamy MM sci-fi romance, two would-be enemies must navigate an undeniable connection that puts everything in danger. Can forbidden love bloom between their worlds—or will loyalty and duty tear them apart? For mature readers.

This book begins as a rescue mission. Human Bryce is on board ship landing on Adelemar with the purpose of rescuing Clay. It seems Clay didn't really convince his old crewmates that he wasn't being brainwashed into wanting to stay with his alien mate Arcay. To be fair, he did act a little crazy when he realized they were stealing him away from his man. This was enough to convince a new crew of humans to attempt a visit to get Clay back. If only they knew what was in store for them then.

Kitari, who is Jursin's son, has disobeyed orders to spy on the enemy ship which has just landed on their planet. He is immediately intrigued when he lays his eyes on Bryce. He has seen how happy Arcay and Clay are together and he imagines what it would be like to claim an omega of his own.

Bryce and Kitari have an immediate attraction with both going against orders to spend time with one another. I thought Jursin was kind of a dick with all the rules he placed on Kitari, but in his defense, he is trying to protect his people and his only son. The problem is the tighter Jursin holds onto Kitari, the more Kitari pulls away.

Bryce is having second thoughts about his orders as well. And after meeting Clay in the flesh looking like a spoiled vacationer, he is more than convinced that Clay is here of his own free will and their mission is unnecessary. Neither side wants to see Bryce and Kitari together, but it appears the pull between the two is too strong to keep them apart for long.

I am enjoying this series by Arden Fox. There was a possible tease of the next couple, though I'm almost positive we'd know if Rand was an omega by now, so that will be a change. I'm hoping there are more books soon and that we also see the previous human omegas popping up in it as well. It was fun getting an update on how Clay is doing, and it would be nice to see how Bryce is doing down the line as well.
