Pining for ten years is a long time, but it's finally time for Barrett to take a big leap and hope that he can convince Owen they were made to be more than best friends.
From the blurb:
Sometimes the wait is just the beginning.
Owen
I've been in love with Barrett since we met in college. Ten plus years and nothing has changed. No man would ever measure up to him, so why would I waste my time? They'd never be Barrett. I'll never be the one for him, so I work as the in-house designer at Barrett's firm and take what I can get. He might be a Daddy, but he's not interested in my kind of little.
Barrett
I've been in love with Owen since college. More than ten years later, and that hasn't changed. I've tried to move on from hi, but other men have never measured up. To keep him close, I hired Owen at my hospitality firm, and I take what he's willing to share. Owen might be a little, but he's not interested in my kind of Daddy.
These two best friends will need some help from fate and a little magic to make their happily ever after happen.
This Daddy/little story includes cuddles, bottles, ABDL, and a feisty kitty ready to throw down to protect their new favorite human. This book can be read as a standalone, but there are reccurring characters from Book One in the series.
SNik's review:
Standalone (but is interconnected with the author’s other ‘Just a Little’ books). Best friends to lovers. Daddy/little. Found family. Dual POV.
Being in love with their best friend for ten years, and neither Barrett nor Owen are sure how to cross the friends only line that was drawn years ago. Even between best friends there are some things that you don’t share, and I fully understood Owen’s hesitations and yet the inevitability of giving in to Barrett when he wants more.
I enjoyed all the supportive secondary characters, and seeing the happiness and sweetness of all the littles with their Daddies. Barrett never wavers once he finally decides that Owen and he fit and does everything he can to show Owen that he’s in the relationship for the long run. Sometimes a super sweet read comes along, with the certainty that the two main characters are meant to be together, and is just something that makes you smile while reading.
Heather's Review:
This was a sweet friends to lovers story with a little forced proximity, some exploration of age regression including ABDL and lots of found family and cameos from side characters to support these two pining besties as they move their relationship from friends to much more!
I am truly enjoying the world that Kerry has created and the dynamics that play into these relationships. I look forward to seeing who falls next!
