If you're looking for a book that is guaranteed to make you feel things, then you definitely have to read this.
From the blurb:
Just how far can he fall?
Asher Finnley’s life hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows. He lost his parents years ago in a tragic accident, leaving him and his twin sister, Ashlynn, with only each other. But a phone call late one night destroys even that. Beyond devastated and more alone than ever, Ash rushes down to California, completely unprepared for the responsibility awaiting him.
His life in shambles, he tries to hold himself together. But his trip back home to Seattle proves too much. Stuck halfway there with a four-month-old infant he’s barely learned to care for and no one to lean on, Ash has no choice but to rely on a stranger’s help.
Caspian Jacobs didn’t intend to return to his hometown of Redding, California after finishing college. But when his mother’s health took a turn for the worse, everything changed. He moved back home to become his mom’s full-time caregiver. Cass didn’t mind; he’d do anything for his parents, including putting his life on hold.
When an unpredictable early-December snowstorm hits the region and an out-of-town stranger literally falls into Cass’s arms, turning his entire world upside down, again, he does what he always does: helps as best he can in an impossible situation.
Once the roads clear, the two men find themselves six hundred miles apart, their fragile friendship the only thing holding Ash together. But as Cass starts hoping for something more, Ash can’t seem to look past his grief to let their relationship grow.
Will the distance between them be too much to overcome?

Katriana Prey's review:
If you're looking for a book that is guaranteed to make you feel things, then you definitely have to read this.
I knew going into this story that it was likely to hit me hard, and I was right, it did. The emotional anguish Ash goes through after losing his sister is something I think a lot of us can relate to, and the way Becca wrote about it was very real and very raw. You could tell from the writing alone that Becca was drawing from personal experience because of how realistic that was portrayed. What also got me was how Cass did his best to stay optimistic, but even someone who tries to look on the bright side can get lost in the darkness, and I thought it was really beautiful in a way, how Becca wrote that into the story. Just when you thought these two men figured things out and were happy, Becca showed that insecurities can bring down the most optimistic of people, and i could relate to that too.
I personally love when a book makes me feel emotions, and reading about Ash, Cass, and Bri's beautiful story did exactly that.
I don't really know what else to say other than you need to read this yourself, and check out this quote I grabbed while reading.
“I just love you. And I need you to know that’s not going to change. Ever. And . . . and no matter what challenges we face, we’ll figure them out, together. I love you, Cass. Always.”
