Two men drawn to each other but struggle with feeling they have anything to offer the other. Accidentally mated, breaking the bond may just break their hearts forever.
From the Unfettered Siren blurb:
I'm a broken mess. I can't take care of someone else.
When we were imprisoned, I was the baby of the family. The scared one. The one they all tried to protect.
Now freedom tastes good. I love living with the other boys, my brothers in all but blood.
I'm part of this found family even though I mostly hide in my pool.
I didn't mind when a human was brought home to live with us.
Sammy seems sweet. He has been used and abused too. A fellow survivor. So I'm not scared of him.
But when he carelessly falls into my pool and I save him from drowning, I'm not at all happy about the mate bond it creates.
I have to find a way to undo it.
I'm not fit to be anyone's mate. I'm pathetic, and the thought of intimacy repulses me.
While Sammy is a cheerful, bright ball of sunshine despite everything that has been done to him.
He deserves so much better.
Sammy can never know he is my mate. I'll do my best to look after him while this bond is in place, but that's it.
I'll find a way to fix this, and then we will both be free.
Unfettered Siren is the fourth book in the Found & Freed: The Unfettered series, which follows the lives of seven paranormal boys after they escape imprisonment in a billionaire's harem. The books are best read in order but can be enjoyed as standalones. There are no cliffhangers and happily ever after is always guaranteed.
Unfettered Siren includes, accidental mating, two way hurt/comfort, only one of them they're mated. And learning to love and trust after abuse. All wrapped up in a black cat / Golden Retriever pairing.

SNik's review:
Fourth in series (Found & Freed), best of read in order. Paranormal. Hurt/comfort. Found family. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.
Blue is grateful to be living with his found family after being freed from their horrible harem existence, but he knows he’s still broken and feels like he is a coward that hasn’t moved on. Sammy may be a human but he embraces his friendships with all of the supernatural men in the house, but especially the siren Blue who he enjoys spending time with. Accidentally mated, both men feel unworthy, yet they yearn for the closeness and friendship they experience with each other.
I’m always drawn to Rodman’s emotional writing of characters that have trouble seeing their self worth and have so many overwhelming doubts about their ability to be loved. There is no magical solution for their trauma which I appreciated, and they find they can love and care for each other in all the best ways when they communicate.
Angel's review:
I'm not familiar with the previous books in this series but the author provides a recap at the beginning of this book giving insight into what happened prior to the events that take place in this story. I found the book to have a great flow, I liked the connection between Blue and Sammy. The concept of a mate bond forming when Blue rescued Sammy was really unique, and I enjoyed reading about it.
These two men would've saved themselves so much hurt and pain if they would've just communicated with each other. But, those moments provided a good angsty component to the plot which I enjoyed. The side characters were great as well and helped provide excellent dialogue.
I do wish there was more of a description about what Blue looked like while he was in the water. From my understanding Sirens typically have a tail while they are in water but that was never mentioned anywhere in the story. That leaves me wondering if he does have a tail and it just wasn't mentioned, or does he just swim with his legs in the water like a human? Other than that though a really great story!
