Welcome to Ink Slingers tattoo shop the latest series from KM Neuhold. Flash is an one strand to more romance with prank war shenanigans sprinkled on top. Two men always wanting more strive to be casual and finally meet their match.
From the blurb:
Lewis tattoos himself on my brain instantly. Too bad this whole situation is about to get messier than spilled ink.
Lewis
Clingy, needy, Too Much
Just a few choice words from men who never deserved me anyway.
I'm not going to make the same mistakes again though. I plan to ride the motorcycle hottie of my dreams just until we both get bored.
Besides, who has time for anything but a quick fling when the jerks at the tattoo shop next door insist on doing everything they can to annoy the hell out of me with some stupid prank war?
Arrow
Possessive, intense, too much
My exes weren't wrong about me. I have a habit of falling too hard for men who never feel the same.
Meeting Lewis in a rainstorm, steaming up his backseat during a flash downpour… maybe this is my sign to try something casual for a change…
And then there's the prank war between my motorcycle club and our new neighbor. Whatever the twink did to get on Jag's bad side, the whole thing sounds a lot less appealing than losing myself in MY pretty twink with a cute butt and big, blue eyes who insists this isn't anything real.
Is he right? Is this thing between us nothing more than a Flash tattoo that time will fade? There's only one way to find out…
SNik's review:
First in series (Ink Slingers). Age gap. Found family. Dual POV.
Lewis has a chance encounter with a biker hotter than the sun, but Lewis always moves too fast and gets hurt so this time he decides a one and done is all it can be. Arrow is entranced by Lewis, but maybe he should be okay with the fact he never called, Arrow has had too many exes leave when Arrow wants to immediately jump into forever. Can these two be any more right for each other?
I enjoyed Arrow’s growly, possessive, sexiness and sweetness and Lewis is equally entertaining as a feisty, intelligent man that knows his worth. Their matching yearning for something more was so relatable when they try to keep it under wraps, but Lewis and Arrow’s chemistry is off the charts and they can’t help reaching for more. Every moment they are on page together is hot and swoony, and when Arrow decides to take a chance his declaration of how much he is attracted to Lewis is beyond romantic. Loved the start of this new series and can’t wait to read more.
Rogue's Review:
Rogue's Review:
- new series
- instant connection
- age gap
This is set in the same book universe as K.M. Neuhold's previous series, Big Bull Mechanics and Four Bears, but can be read as a standalone. Arrow we did briefly meet in Big Bull but Lewis is a new to us character. There's an instant connection between Arrow and Lewis when Arrow stops to help when Lewis' car breaks down, and a very hot car scene. Unknown to both, Lewis' new flower shop is next door to Arrow's tattoo parlour, and Lewis gets off on the wrong foot with one of Arrow's colleagues, Jaguar.
Lewis and Arrow are both wary of relationships, Lewis has been told he's too needy and Arrow too overprotective so together, it works very well between them. Their chemistry is explosive, there's a ton of heat between them but I just wish they'd talk to each other more, dammit. I wasn't actually a huge fan of the prank war between the shops either, it all felt a little bit mean spirited on Jaguar's behalf, actually. I wasn't the biggest fan of his although he did redeem a little towards the end, but honestly wanting to disrupt someone's business just because you were being an ass and not turning down your music, is more than a little petty. That's just an aside though.
I liked Arrow and Lewis, I liked the story, and most of the cast of side characters too. This bodes well for the rest of the series and I do look forward to more.
And let the shenanigans commence. When Lewis opens Little Shop of Flowers next to Ink Slingers on the wrong foot, he doesn't expect s full out prank war. Well, he doesn't take it like a pushover and goes right back at this crazy bunch of bikers. Little does he know he's starting to get the feels for the owner of that very same shops owner. What could have been angsty was handled like adults with open honesty and communication. This is sure to be a wild ride of a series, and I can't wait to see what comes next from KM Neuhold crazy brain with this bunch. As per usual, expect to see cameos from Big Bull and Four Bears to make a fun story even better with those men still in our lives.
Heather's Review:
It's time to explore another business in K.M. Neuhold's world and get the guys all paired up! Now that the guys at Big Bull Mechanics are all loved up, it's time to find love for the Ink Slingers gang! I love how these series build on each other and we get opportunities for cameos from so many of the guys!
Flash gives us a chance to meet Lewis and see Arrow again... and the connection is instant and electric! I love that they orbit each other and their relationship is separate from their work lives... almost to comedic lengths...
This was a fun and steamy introduction to the guys at Ink Slingers and a great age gap, instant connection romance!
Flash is currently available as an e-book and can be read as part of your Kindle Unlimited Subscription
