Little & Lethal is the first line in Little & Lethal, "Whatever Harley had expected.....it wasn't to watch their fated third stroll off and ignore them." I had to cackle, because this set up the story for me as a roller coaster and I wasn't disappointed in the least.
From the blurb:
Book Two: MMM Paranormal Shifter Romance / Fated Mates / Daddy Kink / MC club / Two Sexy Daddy’s / One adorably lethal Little cat
Cosmo, a tiny black-footed cat, uses his Little persona to cope with the darker side of his lifestyle. Can his two fated mates see beyond the cute exterior before those hunting Cosmo succeed in their mission—to murder him?
Harley and Nomad, mates, in need of a place to lie low until the dust settles on their last shifter council operation, find their way to Cookietown. They apply and take the offer to run the local BDSM club, only Fate steps once more into their lives and they meet their third, Cosmo.
Cosmo feels the pull to the two large cats, but he’s uncertain they’ll accept him for who he really is. Problem, they aren’t his biggest concern, not by far. Secretly uncovering information on the shifter council, Cosmo doesn’t know who to trust with everything he’s discovered.
Through patience, threats, a near death experience, and an unforgettable spanking, the two cats finally win over Cosmo, only this is when their problems truly begin. The clock is ticking and the race to save the shifter community is on. Will they succeed or lose everything?
Little & Lethal (Book two of the Little Paws Haven Series) is a paranormal, fated mates, daddies/boy romance where two panthers learn small can be equally deadly.
Lori C's review:
So the beginning really set me up with who is the third? What's he like? Cosmo is multidimensional in the best way. He is an assassin and a little who craves cuddles and care. Yet his assassin side makes it hard for him to just accept that he has not one but two fated mates and not only that he doesn't want them to see him only as a little. Cosmo has his secrets and friends and he's not ready to just fall in line. Harley and Nomad have been together for years and they know each other inside and out. Adding a third to their relationship doesn't go off without a hitch though. Harley and Nomad are determined to protect Cosmo, but who are they protecting him from himself or something more dangerous?
I have to say I was caught from the very beginning. I never felt like I was missing out on a piece of the puzzle with this being book two, so it really is a standalone story. I think the characters were well written on their own and together. The story itself had enough going on that it kept me turning pages all day long. It was exciting, the story had bad guys that I wanted to see get their just desserts. I also don't feel like it ended on a cliff hanger even though there were a few threads left open-ended. Will there be a book three? I hope so. I want to see where the authors take some of the other characters like Bash and Romy and the baby rhinos. I really like the mixture of the BDSM lifestyle and the paranormal fated mates, they really mixed well in this story. Cosmo needed the little lifestyle to kind of purge himself of what he did for a living. Harley and Nomad had never been daddies before and yet for their Cosmo, they made the change effortlessly. I really like this story, the characters, the adventure, and the happy ending!
Molly Otto's review:
It is a fun and unique take on the little/ daddy dynamics. Cosmo & his two daddies, Harley & Nomad. All three come from darker pasts and need to learn how to work these new dynamics. Harley & Nomad are an established couple who have been working together for years, and oh boy, they are not ready for that little force of nature that Cosmo is. Cosmos past, in particular, makes it difficult for him to open up to his mates. When mistakes do happen, it makes it even harder for him to be ready for this major step that will change everything that he holds comfort in.
I appreciated the growing pains in their dynamic and how much they worked together to improve on that situation. However, some parts of the story had me losing focus, making it not as engaging as it could have been. Overall, it was a great read, and I want to read future stories from this universe.
