Choose Me by Beck Grey (Love in the Pacific Northwest Book 3)

Choose Me is the third book in the Pacific Northwest series by Beck Grey and can be read standalone, but you'll enjoy it more if you read the series.

From the blurb:

Jules:

I’ve been in love with my brother’s best friend since I was twelve, and twenty years later, Erik Osouf is still so far out of my league, we aren’t even playing the same sport. Not that I play sports. That means talking to people, and my social anxiety makes that all but impossible.

It also makes my brother incredibly overprotective, and while I love that Stef always has my back, it’s why I still can’t tell Erik how I feel. It would wreck their friendship, and after everything Stef’s done for me, I won’t ever be the cause of that. I just wish my heart would get that memo.

Erik:

For years I thought of Jules Evans as the quiet, sweet kid who regularly crushed me at Mario Kart, and let fireflies loose in our camping tent. Then he accidentally admits he’s in love with me. He doesn’t remember saying anything, and I’d never embarrass him by mentioning it, but since then I can’t stop thinking about kissing him.

If it was anyone else, I’d probably have told them how I feel by now. But he’s my best friend’s younger brother. The same best friend who told me Jules is off-limits. That makes this all kinds of impossible. Unless I can convince them both I’m the right man for Jules.

Choose Me is a 70,000 word low angst, brother’s best friend, contemporary MM romance about flawed but devoted families, taking chances, and sweet cinnamon roll Vikings. It contains no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA

Heather's Review

Is 14 years considered slow burn?  This brother's best friend/best friend's brother story is a sweet, slow burn masterpiece featuring two absolutely adorable and loveable characters - Jules, whose social anxiety can be crippling and Erik, the "cinnamon roll Viking" who adores him, but has been away from home for fourteen years...

Grey tells their story with empathy and pacing, and you get to see just how attuned they are to each other.  Choose Me is a beautiful love story and a wonderful way to read about two men who are ready for the love of their lives.

Janet's Review:

Choose Me is the third book in the Love in the Pacific Northwest series. I’ve been anxiously waiting for Jules and Erik’s story since embrace Me. Jules suffers from extreme anxiety. He’s been in love with his older brother’s best friend since he was a teenager. Erik lost his mother just before he graduated from college. His older brother took it upon himself to be the father figure, which didn’t sit right with their other brother. He took off as soon as he could. Living his best life in Arizona. When he receives an offer he cannot refuse, he comes home.

Fifteen years later, Jules and Erik finally get a chance to be together and they both decide they’re taking that chance despite what anyone else has to say about it. I loved their chemistry and interactions. The characters were complex and had depth. Overall, the story was outstanding! The story was well written with, pacing that flowed and kept me glued to the pages. Highly recommend!
