We're so excited to be part of the Northern Rainbow Romance Retreat here at the MMRR Blog. Heather has joined up with a great group of authors and bookish friends to put together this amazing plan for both the 2024 and 2025 Northern Rainbow Romance Retreat Conference!
This unique event will bring together published authors and PA's in the queer romance genre for a two day retreat, with the opportunity to write, collaborate, and learn from each other together and separately. VIP readers will then join for a personal weekend experience with their favourite authors. The retreat will also include a fabulous public signing event featuring all participating authors, with dedicated time for VIP readers.2025 Conference:
Dates: August 20th - 24th
Location: Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
All events will take place within the same facility. We have a group rate for hotel rooms, discounted parking, and airport shuttles.
We are currently accepting author interest for 2025.

Authors Retreat ($400 CAD)
- 2 days of classes and group discussions
- 1 day of meet & greets with VIP readers
- 1 table at public signing event
- Includes coffee breaks, 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, and an evening reception
Authors VIP & Signing ($350 CAD)
- 1 table at public signing event
- 1 day of meet & greets discussion groups and more with authors and VIP readers
- 1 table at public signing event
- Includes 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, and an evening reception
Author Signing & Reception ($225 CAD)
- 1 table at public signing event
- Saturday evening reception
- Add on Sunday breakfast for an additional $50
Author Signing only ($150)
- 1 table at public signing event
Author 1/2 table signing only ($100)
- 1/2 table at public signing event
A non-refundable deposit of $100 ($50 for 1/2 table) will be due upon invitation to sign at Northern Rainbow Romance Retreat 2025. That fee is required to hold your table and will need to be received before your name will be released on social media.
Payment in full will be due on or before 4/25/25. If for any reason the author cancels, there will be no refunds or credits given and all payments are forfeited. However, where funds are non-refundable, they are transferable. NRRR. will make every attempt to help an author find a replacement. The NRRR waiting list will be utilized first. Any and all replacement authors MUST be approved by NRRR. NRRR must be informed of and approve any and all changes. All replacements must be made on or before 6/30/25.
Registration for PAs and Other Professionals, Aspiring Authors, VIP Readers and Signing tickets will open on November 1st, 2024.
What's the plan?
August 20th and 21st are writing retreat days for authors, aspiring authors and PA's - some people will probably arrive for the afternoon sessions only, but there will be things happening from 9 am onwards, including a sprint room... and that may continue through the evening, depending on what people want.
August 22nd is VIP reader day - so reader-focused sessions including author meet ups and a big lunch for everyone.
August 23rd is signing day - there will be two author sessions which will include a VIP only time and public signing times followed by a reception Saturday evening.
August 24th is a breakfast event and getaway day.
