Bro and the Beast (The Wolf's Mate Book 4) by L.C. Davis

If you haven't had the chance to read this series yet, there's time to catch up before the finale. Bro and the Beast book 4 was released only a few days ago. Reviews might contain spoilers for the series so far!

From the blurb:

Finally reunited with Raul, but now separated from his twin brother, Devon, Brad has learned the hard way that magic is far from an exact science.

Not that his grades in actual science were all that stellar to begin with.

Now he has to find a way to get back into The Wolf's Mate with Raul, hope the threatening visions he's having of Constantine following him into the real world are just dreams rather than premonitions, and deal with a heroine who's furious Brad has usurped her role, all while fending off morning sickness.

That's just the price he has to pay for trading in his playbook for a grimoire, but Constantine is going to do whatever it takes to make sure Brad and Raul never reach their Happily Ever After.

Author's Note: This is the fourth serial installment of a new mpreg series following Brad, a quintessential frat bro and Raul, the brooding werewolf love interest he never asked for--and, in typical '80s alpha male hero fashion, is never gonna give him up. Prepare for hot shifters, snark and banter, gay awakening, found family dynamics, sassy (and intrusive) siblings, a villainous heroine, cliffhangers galore, and meta mayhem.

Jacqueleen the Reading Queen's Review:

I am continuing to absolutely adore this serial!! It has so many fun elements. Poor Brad. That frat boy has had to deal with shock after shock. And Raul just stares at him adoringly through it all. We finally get to meet the original heroine of The Wolfs Mate and man is she a total bitch. I'm even more glad Raul ended up with Brad after meeting her. He deserves the best!

Constantine is a conundrum. He's a bad guy, but I have a feeling we are going to see some surprises from him in the next and final addition to the serial. Honestly, I'm super bummed the next one is the last because, like I've said for every release, this serial is just the best. On the flip side of the coin I am definitely looking forward to Brad and Raul getting their well deserved HEA!

Jacquie's Review:

Bro and the Beast is seriously addictive. I preordered this and it made my day to wake up and find it on my kindle! It was my reward for finishing other things.

I just love Brad so much. He's softened since book 1 but is still able to make me laugh with his prickly nature. He really hates that doctor! He's got such a loving way about him, he has some of those natural omega instincts, but as Raul pointed out, he's the alpha of his frat. It really makes his character 3 dimensional.

Raul is adorable. He worships his mate and his main concern is his safety. He doesn't give Catalina a second glance, which I thought was hilarious.

Our baddies, Constantine and Catalina are great additions to the story. Each brings something a bit different. Catalina dropped a line that I can't stop thinking about.

Lots of twists and turns and a hint at something (maybe a spinoff?). I have a theory! After discussion with friends (Jacqueleen and some others) it seems that we are on the same page. I'm going to stay vague on that, sorry!

Cannot wait for more. I'm going to be sad that this series is over, but happy for the pair to get their HEA.
