This series continues to get better and better!
From the blurb:
Sasha
I’m prey. Weak little helpless prey. At least, that’s what I let the wild men in Wilde’s End think. I haven’t trusted them one bit since I’ve been stranded here, and after Lynx tries to kill me, I know my instincts were correct.
At least until I’m forced to spend more time with the machete-wielding animal. He’s got a past he won’t talk about, and a protective streak that anyone else would find suffocating.
Anyone but me.
And when he extends that protection to me, it feels better than I expect it to.
I still want out of The End, but maybe I can have a little fun first.
Lynx
I’m a predator. When I was young, I promised myself that no one would ever get past my defenses again. People call me scary and unhinged, but they can think what they like so long as my town is safe.
The influx of outsiders to Wilde’s End already had me on edge, and then in stumbles Sasha. A small, weak, walking tragedy. I have no idea how he's survived this long, but something about him calls to me. Everything from his pretty eyes to the way he bites back at me and fights battles he has no chance of winning.
I’d assumed he was prey.
But the more I push, the more I feel like I’m the one being hunted.
This is a contemporary MM romance between a man who's forgotten how to love and a man who'll do anything to make him remember.
Katriana Prey's review:
Lynx's book is here!! If you've been reading this series then you have met Lynx. The dangerous, wild, somewhat deranged man with a ferocious bobcat at his side. In this book, his book, we get to see a different side to him, a side that shows that things aren't always what they seem.
I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but I will say that I wasn't expecting Lynx to be a total sweetheart! I absolutely adore him! Sure, he's surly, grumpy, hates to be vulnerable, and despises chaos, but he's also a teddy bear on the inside. He cares fiercely for those he considers his, and while he won't admit it, he considers the residents in his town his family, especially his cubs.
Sasha is such a good match for Lynx, he pushes boundaries while also getting to know Lynx for who he is, not who he pretends to be. I enjoyed the back and forth these two have with one another, their chemistry is electric from the very first moment they meet. And even though Lynx tried to resist, even he couldn't deny Sasha's charms.
This book was great! We got to see Lynx find someone eho complements him, accepts him for who he is, and who challenges him, and that's exactly what he needs. Its what he was missing.
The dialogue and back and forth banter that occurred during this story was great to read about, it made me smile at times. I thought the pacing was great, I also found the buildup surrounding Antonio was written well. I liked that things didn't get resolved right away, and thst when things finally reached their breaking point, that something unexpected happened.
All in all a great book and I loved the mental health rep at the end! I do have you say I am very curious about Booker's book, I feel like his is going to be very interesting.
Lynx's Ruin is currently available as an e-book and paperback and can be read as part of your Kindle+ Subscription
