Ya'll the way this book completely CONSUMED me is something otherworldly! I knew from reading the blurb, and seeing all the teasers on this author's socials that I was going to enjoy this book. I didn't know at the time how much I would come to love this story and these characters though.
This book at its core is about Max and Atlas, you could say they're star crossed lovers? Or enemies to lovers? Either is applicable. They are from completely different worlds and yet one haunting night irrevocably changed their lives. And two years after that night.. they meet again.
The way this book was set up was splendid! I love how it started with us seeing just how dark Atlas could be while also showing he has morals, which was fun seeing those two traits collide. I liked that we got both MC's perspectives because it let me get to "know" these characters better as individuals but also as a couple, which I enjoyed.
These two had a very long and bumpy road ahead of them, but after hitting some speed bumps, and finally having a full fledged conversation, their road smoothed out for them by the end. I very much enjoyed reading about Atlas, Max, Enzo, Gwen, and Saint! I cannot wait to see what else this author writes next!!
