Jax grieves for his life before his chronic back pain, and his anger causes him problems. When he meets Tristan he finds someone that accepts his frustration but also makes everything a little better by being with him.
From the blurb:
Jax burns with more than anger, but will he chase away his only chance at love?
Four years ago, Jax Fiorelli lost everything, and now he struggles with chronic pain and a fuse so short that it scares even him. Living on hard mode has changed him for the worse, and lately his only bright spot is the gorgeous, bearded stranger he sees at physical therapy, the one who looks at him with eyes warm enough to melt his defenses.
Tristan Maddock has spent his life putting others first. After months on a long-distance hike, he’s returned home feeling untethered and unsure of where he belongs, and his manipulative ex is determined to sabotage any happiness he has. So, he isn’t ready for anything new, but the alluring, younger man he sees each week refuses to leave his mind and his heart.
Fate steps in, and their paths collide at The Pointe wedding hall. As they work long hours side by side, the heat between them grows into something dangerously real, but a sinister plan is unfolding that could tear them apart.
Can Jax master his anger, and can Tristan stop sacrificing himself? Or will they lose the one thing that could save them both - each other?
Furious is the 85k fourth book in The Pointe of Love series. It has an age-gap, workplace romance with hurt/comfort, chronic pain rep, angry/calm, a size difference, lots of nudes, ravioli dinners, enough heat to make a fireplace jealous, and an HEA with no cliffhangers.
All of The Pointe of Love books can be read as standalones, as they each follow a different couple, but they’re much more fun when read together.

SNik's review:
Fourth in series (The Pointe of Love), but can be read as a standalone. Coworkers. Age gap. Size difference. Hurt/comfort. Found family. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.
Some chance encounters occur and then Jax and Tristan end up working at the same wedding hall. Their mutual attraction grows but Jax is struggling with his chronic back pain and Tristan is trying to contain his interaction with his toxic ex.
This story has two men unsure about their individual futures but wanting to see what can grow between them nonetheless. Jax’s medical condition is heartbreaking, and Tristan’s goodness while trampled on by some is appreciated by Jax and their found family of friends and coworkers. I enjoyed Jax and Tristan’s interactions, trying to take it slow and their respect for each other’s interests, goals, and work ethic. Jax’s pain was hard to read, but Tristan’s constant care was super swoony. I especially liked the found family aspect as everyone rallies behind both men.
Furious is currently available as an e-book and can be read as part of your Kindle Unlimited Subscription
