Samson has a new target assigned by the Firm, a sexy dancer that may have killed someone. But Rowan is grieving, and inadvertently starts hooking up with his stalker and would-be murderer.
I started out unsure about this story, but Rowan and Samson really grew on me with their instant attraction and super steamy times as well as Rowan having to lower his walls to let Samson and his family into his heart. Usually I’m not a fan of secrets between main characters, but of course Samson can’t let Rowan know he is an assassin and it ends up being pivotal for the story and I felt like it worked. I really enjoyed the cinnamon roll side of Samson, what a sweetheart Rowan is, and especially the building relationship supported by the strong friendships Rowan finds. The over the top love and friendship bombing, along with likable main characters, plus the chaos of the Buckingham family, was truly entertaining.
