This is the first book in this series that I've read and I'm here to inform others that this can be read as a standalone. I think I would've had more backstory on the side characters had I read the previous books, but I still really enjoyed this as a standalone.
Reading about Dare and Zach was so enjoyable, seeing them awkwardly fumble their way through their feelings was honestly adorable. Even though they had something threatening them and their friends' lives, they still made getting to know one another and caring for each other a priority which I really loved.
The MC's were fantastic! I liked how we got so much information on his Dare ran his blueberry farm, and we also got scenes of Zach running his bakery and baking his yummy sounding baked goods! I do have to say, my favorite side characters weren't even human, the goats and Dare's doggo were my favorite side characters to read about!! They were so full of life and mischief and I just loved whenever they were apart of a chapter.
All in all, a great book with a very sweet happily ever after!! I'm definitely curious about Wyatt though, I wonder how his story is going to be...
