Neither of them have time for romance: Jamie is trying to return to the lineup and redeem himself, while Tyler is trying to make ends meet as a single parent. But there’s something undeniable there, and with every second the two men spend together, their reasons for why a relationship won’t work start to disappear.
Maybe, for each other, they can make time.

Taylor does a beautiful job in single dad romance. Tyler showing Rowan comes first, and Jamie completely understanding and supporting his choice. Jamie as newly appointed captain of his hockey team understands priorities and in every way shows both Tyler and Rowan that family time is what matters even when your career gets in the way, but the support system you build around you makes the time apart just as good as the time together. This was a slow burn and it had to be for these men to understand and be on the same page with one other. If you aren't a fan of kid focused romances this will not be for you, Rowan is a big apart of the story as Tyler and Jamie, as a young child should be imo. With great found family and support systems throughout it was a breath of fresh air to see these men work maturely through life's big choices. This was my first read from this author and if they continue to write like this it won't be my last.
