The space opera drama continues with book 2 in the Starhawk Trilogy. Get ready to meet the infamous Lady Death and to follow our lovebirds on their mission to expose the evil human trafficking ring they've set their sights on.
From the blurb:
Book two of the Starhawk trilogy
Allied together now as partners in crime and lovers, Niko and Elliott have the ire of an entire galaxy pointed their way. As complications pile up against them and old friends become enemies, continuing the fight against the corrupt and powerful elites of Honeybliss is only getting harder.
Niko’s former mentor, the revolutionary and bounty hunter, Lady Death, can grant them the chance to finally expose the harrowing truth of Honeybliss and save countless lives—but Elliott isn’t convinced that they can trust her.
Especially not when three years ago, Niko vanished while owing her a precious debt.
Niko is forced to confront the past he’s been running from, which means going deep into the heart of a black market empire ruled only by credits, with the biggest bounty the galaxy has ever seen on his and Elliott’s heads.
They say love is the most powerful force in the galaxy... but they forgot about money.

Finished this on my cruise and just got back to having cell service. Loved all the vulnerable moments in this installment of the Starhawk Trilogy. Yes there was actions and crazy things happening like in the first book, but there were so many more intimate moments speckled in. And I'm not just talking about physically intimate. Both Nico and Elliot do a lot of sharing their burdens as they've come to trust each other. They both have their own baggage, but when you have someone to help you carry the weight, it doesn't seem as insurmountable as before.
"ππππ π ππ πππππ π ππππ πππππ. πΈ π ππ πππ ππ’π πππππ ππ ππππ π’ππ ππππ."
I absolutely loved meeting Lady Death and all the wild stuff that came with her presence. I was worried since knew going in that Lady Death wasn't very happy with Nico since their last parting. She seemed pretty powerful in her own right so if she wanted to make Nico disappear, I think she easily could have.
You know how book 2 in a trilogy is sometimes just a filler read? Well, that is not the case with this one. MAJOR things go down that have affected the trajectory of this entire plotline. I'm still uncertain about Nico's brother. I'm even more uncertain how these two men are going to pull off the rest of their mission after the events of book 2. What I am not uncertain about, is that these two knuckleheads love each other dearly and are 100% meant to be.
