An unexpected danger and life change. A protective demon hunter. A bond that can't be denied. Two men that come together and can never be apart again.
From the blurb:
When Milo Hayes skips school for a tarot reading, the last thing he expects is to be hexed by a powerful witch—and hunted by a demon that craves his soul. Left for dead, he’s rescued by Silas Mercer, a demon hunter bound by a divine calling… and an undeniable pull toward Milo.
As Milo’s body begins to change—stronger, faster, hotter—he discovers he’s not just cursed. He’s awakening into something more. Something dangerous. Something hunted.
With time running out, Milo must navigate a world of dark magic, forbidden bonds, and a growing desire that blurs the line between protector and lover. The bond between him and Silas isn’t just fate—it’s combustible.
To survive, Milo must do more than face the demon stalking him. He’ll have to confront what’s inside him—and claim the man who’d burn the world to keep him alive.
SNik's review:
Standalone novella. Paranormal. Dual POV.
A chance tarot card reading and suddenly Milo’s life is thrown into an unexpected and dangerous direction. Demons are real and being rescued by demon hunter Silas helps Milo with the new direction his life has taken.
This story had a good world building given its length, and Milo and Silas are quick into high steam as determined by the circumstances of demon hunter nature. As it was a quick read there was not much background or emotional build up, but it was an entertaining read and did leave me wishing it had been longer as the characters were interesting and the story well written.
