A vampire that wants to stay tied to his descendants doesn't expect to fall for his grandchildren's father. Morgan doesn't know anything about the supernatural world, and even though Ned fits into his family with ease, can their attraction be strong enough to face all kinds of secrets?
From the blurb:
I shouldn't fall in love with my descendant
I shouldn't fall in love when I've only just found freedom.
I should be in therapy, not making moon eyes at the man who thinks he is my boss.
But hearts never listen to logic.
I only wanted to be part of my great-great-grandchildren's lives. The piece of work who held me captive kept me in line by threatening them. He's dead now, but I still want to protect them. And know them. Love them.
They are so young to have lost their mother. No wonder their father needs a nanny.
It all seemed like a wonderful idea.
Until it wasn't.
He is handsome and kind. Gentle and respectful.
Everything the men who used me in the harem were not.
It's not surprising I'm falling for him.
I can tell myself it's fine. He is my in-law. We are not blood related.
We are both lonely.
I can tell myself a lot of things.
But can I tell him I'm a vampire? His dead wife's great-grandfather? A former trafficking victim?
Or that I live with a collection of paranormal men in a bizarre but beautiful found family? Bound by the trauma we went through together in a billionaire's harem?
The truth is too much, so I need to stay away.
If I can.
Unfettered Vampire is the fifth book in the Found & Freed: The Unfettered series, which follows the lives of seven paranormal boys after they escape imprisonment in a billionaire's harem. The books are best read in order but can be enjoyed as standalones. There are no cliffhangers and happily ever after is always guaranteed.
Unfettered Vampire includes,
A vampire nanny & a gentle human boss.
Hurt / Comfort.
Hidden identity.
Lots of angst.
And two messy, broken people stumbling towards love and their hard won HEA.

Ned’s sole focus after being freed from being part of an unwilling harem is to be close to his grandchildren, part of his bloodline from before he became a vampire. Morgan hires Ned as his nanny, grieving his wife but focusing on his children, and as time passes he ignores the attraction he has for the younger (so he thinks) man.
I appreciated that Morgan and Ned’s relationship stays professional for a long time until they can’t deny their feelings any longer. I missed grumpy Ned though, and his negative interactions with his former harem housemates were puzzling, although they were mostly supportive aa their found family has usually been. I was glad that overcoming Ned’s secrets was not super angsty, and Morgan and Ned did seem to find a special place with each other beyond their love for the children. This book and series are an entertaining read.
