From the blurb:
Ash has traveled the globe. Will he ever find what he’s looking for?
Travel influencer Ash has made running from his problems his career—until his journey comes to an end. Back home in Aotearoa New Zealand, Ash knows he’s expected to finally settle down, a thought that fills him with nothing but dread. If this is what he really wants…why does it make him feel so empty?
When Hallow, a fairy-like man, travels out of Ash’s dream to quite literally land in his lap, Ash realises he has bigger problems than his inability to settle down.
A powerful monster pursues Hallow, preventing him from returning home. Forget jet-lag. If he is to help Hallow, Ash is going to need a crash course in magic, inter-dimensional travel and—love?
The End of the World is a standalone MM romance novel as part of the multi-author collaboration Tales from the Tarot. This book is based on the major arcana card The World
Molly Otto's review:
The last of the Tales of the Tarot ends with a bang. Ash has been traveling the world since the passing of his mother, unable to return to his homeland of New Zealand. Until he knows it's time to return, immediately he starts dreaming of the Magic Shop and a beautiful pink haired man. Hallow is trapped in between worlds until Ash brings him out. Together, they must defeat the Quetch to save both worlds and have a chance to be together.
Drake does an amazing job in bringing each world to life where you feel through each door you enter this new place. The attraction of these men is immediate, yet a slow burn, for Ash has to learn to trust his heart once again. The Magic Shop is an integral part in solving the mystery and fits along with previous installments views to feel the connection of the series as a whole. A well-done and thought-out story and perfect way to close this series.
The End of the World is currently available as an e-book and paperback and can be read as part of your Kindle Unlimited Subscription
