Meats & Memories (Heartcraft Market Book 2) by Duckie Mack; Narrated by Kevin Earlywine & Curtis Michale Holland

Meats & Memories is just one of those stories that makes you smile. The audio made a fun book a comfort listen for me with the beautiful narration.

From the blurb:

Dash made bad decisions in the past, ones that he paid for behind bars.

He left his old life behind, but the memories linger. He finds a passion for food and sells his smoked meats and sausages at the Heartcraft Market.

Evan loves his job as a sonographer, but sometimes, the weight of his work wears on him. He surrounds himself with flowers and pretty things that remind him of the beauty in life.

Done with dating apps, Evan hopes to find someone in real life. When the intriguing tattooed man at the market catches his eye, could this be the "meat" cute the vegetarian was hoping for?

Dash is drawn to the crop top-wearing cutie that frequents his booth, but can Evan accept his past?

Meats & Memories is an opposites-attract story that features tattoos, twirly skirts, and seeing beneath the surface. The Heartcraft Market series features standalone novels that can be enjoyed on their own or listened to with the series to revisit your favorite characters.

Molly Otto's review:

Audio update
Kevin Earlywine & Curtis Michael Holland pair up as Dash & Evan and just do so beautiful. They give Evan his fun loving nature and Dash his more subdued tone. So, I'm not gonna lie. I have already listened to this 5 times before I remember to update my review. Yes, I like it that much it's just so comforting to listen to these two like a nice snuggle. Their story was beautiful to read. However, to listen is just a calm my brain. Added to my comfort listen rotation on first time through 😊

One big silly mistake of Dashs youth forever changes the course of the rest of his life. When he's on the outside, he must learn how to really live and let go of his past. Enter Evan, a bright ray of sunshine, a beautiful man who changes it all for him. These two have a beautiful slow ish burn of a romance from their first interaction to opening up to falling in love. Love the way they support the other when they are having a good or bad day, just that perfect balanced partner. We get to meet more vendors from the Heartcraft Market who hopefully will be getting their own future stories. And we get to see the boys from Love Bites again, so yay!
