#BookbloggerHop - Average Monthly Reads

It's been a while since I've joined the BookBlogger Hop hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer but today's prompt spoke to me as an ardent tracker of all things reading:

What is the average number of books you read per month?

Let's break down some numbers:

On average in 2021, I typically read 2-3 books a day... I ended the year with 826 books read or 69 books per month

I'm currently on a 182 week, 1271 day reading streak on my kindle app...

This year I am a little bit off pace because the kids have been doing virtual school and I've been my older child's EA to keep them on track because of their Autism and then despite being careful, we ended up with Covid as a family... the brain fog definitely cut into my reading time, but I'm planning to get back on track shortly and my reading goal for the year is 800 books, meaning that my average pace per month should be about 67 books per month..

I am feeling much better and I'm pretty sure that I will reach at least 60 books read by the end of this month... and then I'll just have to work a little harder in February - hopefully the kids will be back at school and we'll be over the crud...

  1. That just sounds crazy to me! I would love to be able to read that fast and to have the time to read so much. I am lucky if I read two books a month!

  2. I ended the year just shy of 1k but am trying to slow down this year and go for quality over quantity. I'm also in a massive reading streak, 183 weeks
