Mate Matched: Xavier & Brady (Mate Match Book 2) by Jax Stuart; Narrated by Sal Monroe

Always believe in the strength of true love.

From the blurb:

Mate Match, the love matching app with the highest success rate in the market! No one can beat us at finding loving, long-term romantic relationships for our members. We use in-depth questionnaires to get to the heart of what you want in a partner, or partners.

Heartbroken from a recent situationship gone wrong, Brady signs up for Mate Match to continue the search for his perfect mate. As a recessive and likely infertile omega, he knows the pickings are slim, but that hasn't made him give up hope. The app did so well for his best friend, Jae, so it's worth a shot. Anything to try to get over Xavier.

Betrayed in the worst way, Xavier has to pick up the pieces of his heart and life. He knows he lost something special in Brady, so when he hears the omega is dating again, he joins Mate Match just to get matched with him. Xavier won Brady's heart once, he can do it again, right?

Mate Matched: Xavier & Brady is an MM omegaverse second chance romance between a stubborn omega who knows what he wants and the alpha who is willing to prove himself worth the chance. Expect a ton of sweetness, a baby, and a HEA. This is book 2 in the Mate Match series and best listened to after book 1, Mate Match: Curtis & Jae.

SNik's review:

Audio. Second in series (Mate Match), can be read as a standalone but might be more fun if read in order. Omegaverse. Mpreg. Alpha/omega. Second chance. Found family. Dual POV.

Brady thought he had something special starting with an Alpha married couple but found he was cheated on and betrayed. Xavier knows Brady is his omega, and he was betrayed as well, so once he can finalize his divorce he will do anything to be in Brady’s life.

This story has a devoted Alpha in Xavier that is sure Brady is his omega and will wait for as many chances as he can get in order to show Brady that they were meant to be together. There are plenty of steamy scenes with Brady and Xavier experiencing heats together as just friends with benefits before Brady can’t deny they are building something. Brady’s doubts are understandable (if frustrating at times) and Xavier’s commitment to him throughout is admirable. Another really sweet A/o story for this series.

The narrator’s voice was pleasant and good at telling the story, but for those that prefer more voice acting this may not work as well, but I enjoyed it.

Gabrielle Lee's review:

When Brady and Xavier’s world is shattered the two lose the connection that they have just begun to build. Is this truly the end for them or can they find a way to follow their hearts?

I enjoyed getting to be alongside for Xavier and Brady’s journey. It is a roller coaster ride of emotions. Against what seem to be insurmountable odds the two fight hard for their happiness. Xavier is a good man and he never gives up on his love, always showing Brady the depth of his devotion no matter what. Brady struggles with a lot and must look inside himself to find the strength and see himself as more than those who aim to bring him down. It was nice to see these two find their way back to each other. They are good together and we get to see their bond grow and deepen as they deal with everything that is thrown at them. Narrator Sal Monroe does a nice job of bringing the characters and their world to life which pulled me into the story and kept me engaged all the way to the end.
