Another really entertaining entry for the ExorSquad series. New coworkers thrown together to expel some ghosts, Ewan and James find a rhythm to getting ghosts to move along and to their building attraction. But something darker than normal is in the house, and Ewan and James have to fight to save the house and their blossoming connection.

Part of a multi-author series (ExorSquad), but can be read as a standalone. Paranormal. Coworkers. Size difference. Light BDSM. Found family. Slow burn. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.
Paired together at a haunted house/hostel, Ewan and James are in over their heads but manage to muddle through discovering that ghosts are more than real and they can actually help them move along. Mutual attraction aside, there is something very dark haunting the hotel, and as Ewan and James explore the house, and their deepening relationship, they may have something too big to handle.
Take a gentle giant of a rugby player and pair him with a feisty and dominant coworker, and you have the instant chemistry between Ewan and James. The story moves along the haunted storyline in equal parts to the building romance, and throws in some loyal found family and a sentient house full of otherworldly cats which made this a really entertaining read. This was just a really fun and sweet read, with a special connection that isn’t willing to let go.

Ewan and James's story was such a delight to read! These two men are vastly different from each other, which I think is why they compliment each other so well. Both of these men were sent to clear the ghosts from the hostel, but neither of them expected to find what was waiting for them in the basement.. Also.. why are the creepy things always in the basement??
I loved reading this story, there was a good deal of tension/build up between the two MC's while also still staying focused on the ghosts and the cats that were in the Hostel. I give massive props to this author for coming up with each unique ghost, along with the backstory for the ghost AND giving them names, in addition to each of the cats. Every cat has a name and a detailed description of what they look like and that level of detail is something that always stands out to me and is what made this book so enjoyable for me.
Now, I'll be honest, I'm not a HUGE fan of Dom/Sub dynamics, however, I think it worked really well here. I liked how James brought Ewan out of his shell and gave him the things he wanted/needed that Ewan didn't know how to ask for. And in turn, Ewan brought out a softer side to James that I'm sure no one was expecting. By the end of this story James became a proper cat lover, can you believe it? I know, I was surprised too, but I love that for him! The surprising twist that happened to Ewan had me holding my breath, I NEEDED to know what happened to him right away. I stayed up late reading this book, I actually read this in one sitting, it was THAT good and very captivating.
Overall, yet another FANTASTIC book in this series, and I am so excited to continue reading about ExorSquad and their bloody terrible boss.
