Jamie is so delightfully clueless in sensing his mate it takes literally falling out of a tree to see it. Casey being the bright soul he is just allows Jamie to take his sweet time until matters get out of hand and he lets the truth out. These two are those perfect best friends to lovers who truly got to know the other fully before cementing their bond. The world building of this family is such a beautiful thing to see, and I keep looking forward to the next installment to see how the next one happens to get their fated mate. Really have been enjoying this take that the shifters gain both animals when they form their bonds allowing them more than their natural form.
