An entertaining short story, easy to listen to.

Blake is successful, rich, and totally committed to honesty. And, apparently, just as determined in having a relationship with Dante. As they explore the physical fascination between them, they can’t help developing the emotional bond too.
But if Dante confesses his past to Blake, will that be the end of everything? Or will their time at the Haven provide the comfort and understanding that both men have been seeking?

This is my first book by Stella Shaw, and I like her writing style. She writes in a light and easygoing way, and despite the story’s brevity, it’s quite engaging.
After a series of setbacks in life, Dante tries to regain his independence by working as a rent boy in a run-down hotel. But even the hotel’s future is uncertain, and Dante himself has little self-confidence due to his past. When he meets Blake, sparks suddenly fly between them. Blake is the exact opposite of Dante: he’s successful in his career and wealthy. I liked both men from the start, but I would have liked to learn a little more about Blake.
What happens next for the two of them? Of course, the question arises: do they have a chance at something that lasts beyond one night? But read it for yourself!
As I said, it’s a short story, but it’s still entertainingly written.
Dan Calley narrated the audiobook, and he did a great job. He chose the right voices for Dante and Blake and really brought the story to life. I’m already looking forward to more books in the series.
