Sergei didn't mean to fall for the widowed doctor he has been stalking, especially since Leo will never forgive Sergei for his involvement with Leo's husband's death. But Sergei can't let Leo go, and betrayal may be right around the corner even if the doctor is having second thoughts.

Third in series, (Bratva’s Undoing), first in duet, best if read in order. Adversarial to lovers. Widower. Age gap. Dual POV. Heed content warnings. Mild cliffhanger.Leo blames the Bratva for his husband's death, and wants nothing to do with the obsessed mafia bodyguard stalking him. Sergei falls quickly for Leo, the doctor seems to be everything he wants, but Leo is still grieving and secretly has plans for revenge.
For those that like a tough guy that’s only soft for one person this might fit the bill. Sergei’s complete devotion to Leo is quick and unusual, and even though the sexual chemistry is off the charts, there is no trust between Leo and Sergei. There were a lot of this story that was enjoyable, but there were a couple of quibbles that kept me from being fully invested (I’m not a fan of secrets between MC’s). I hope that Sergei doesn’t forgive as easily as it is leading up to if he is betrayed. As this is a duet though, I look forward to seeing how their relationship plays out and if this Bratva family can survive together.
