As a goth auntie, I love seeing goth characters represented in stories, so I went into this book excited. Double points for gamer goth as a gamer girl. This was a forbidden story from the beginning but I loved watching the character open up more as the story progressed. Based on the blurb, I thought it would be more angsty than it was (at least for me) and I spent half the book trying to smush these guys together and yell 'KISS ALREADY'.

I will definitely be checking out this author's backlist and I'm excited to read more from this series as they release.
