After some heated hookups with the local gym owner Dex, Rome left the country for three years, but neither man forgot the scorching chemistry between them. Now Rome is back, but Dex wants more than another hookup and he's gonna make Rome see that they can be more than just a passing fling.
From the blurb:
Whoever convinced me that sleeping with the hot co-owner of PUMPT Gym was a good idea should be tied to a tree and left in the woods to rot.
Too bad I'm the only one to blame.
There’s something about Dex that captured my attention the moment I first saw him, and no matter what I do, I can’t get him out of my head.
But there’s one tiny problem.
He's hearing.
And he doesn’t sign.
Oh, and he’s also the brother of the guy my ex is in love with.
But while three years working in another country with an ocean between us should have cured my addiction, the second I see Dex again, he’s all I want. And this time, it’s worse. This time, he’s learned my language, and he uses his hands to tell me exactly what he thinks of me.
And exactly what he wants to do when he gets his hands on me.
And his lips.
And his tongue.
In spite of my own rules against dating men like him, I find myself wanting to break down all the walls I’ve built up. But will giving in to Dex make me the world’s biggest hypocrite?
Or will I be making the best decision of my life?
PAH! is the third book in the Deaf Hearts series and can be enjoyed as a stand-alone. It’s a spicy, MM, enemies to lovers rom-com featuring a burnt out, Deaf corporate cog with a country-sized chip on his shoulder, a hearing, sexy-sweet, gym owning himbo who is learning to take what he wants, especially when it’s offered, bad dates, better dates, A+ dates, light stalking, and a happily ever after.
SNik's review:
Third in series (Deaf Hearts), can be read as a standalone but might be more fun if read in order. Second chance. Hard of hearing representation. Grumpy/sunshine. Found family. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.
After a few sizzling hookups, Rome leaves Dex behind and doesn’t return for three years, but neither man forgets. Dex knows Rome doesn’t date hearing men, but when Rome returns Dex wants more than just sex, he wants to try for something more.
I really enjoyed how even though there is plenty of steam right from the start, Dex and Rome step back and date, and it really is sweet. This redemption arc for Rome is heartfelt as he is determined to give the relationship a chance, and he solicits help from his friends which also helps him strengthen his found family relationships as well. As I mentioned in the last book’s review, every time I read a book from this series I wish I knew sign language, deaf culture is well represented and we get a peek at hardships as well as strong community ties. I believe this is the finale for this series, but there appears to be a spin-off on the horizon and I’m here for it.

Angel's review:
I'll start by saying I really enjoyed this series, I love these two authors so them writing books together is magic for me. I knew Rome's story was going to be angst filled from the beginning, I mean, his character is the definite grump of the group. I'm going to be honest I didn't jive well with his character, I understand why he behaves the way he does, and I also get why he keeps Dax at arms length, but I just couldn't get on board with his character.
Having said that though, Dax was fantastic!! I loved his golden retriever energy and how he was so determined to learn ASL and become fluent, not only for himself, but most importantly for those around him that he cares about. He makes leaps and strides to help make his gym more accessible for those that can't hear like him and his brother can, and I loved that!
My favorite part of this whole book was the ending when Dax got conned into adopting his tyrant of a cat, and when they went to the aquarium. Those moments were so precious and showed a tender, intimate side to both of these men that I really liked seeing.
I also loved how this book left off with us getting to know who's book is going to be first in the spin off series, I'm SO looking forward to Denver's book. I'm also very curious about the brothers who own the Cat Cafe... What are they up to? I wanna know!
