This was cutesy and frustrating at times. I was dying for the big reveal to happen and the author made us wait so long the tease!! One thing is for sure. Whenever Alex and the Fire Chief are in a room together the UST is off the charts. And then when things get physical we have an experienced older man guiding our young, virginous Alex. Who knew all that sweetness was hiding under all that snark!?

Yes our sometimes grumpy Alex is hiding a lot of passion underneath his facade, a passion, the chief certainly has a fun time coaxing out. But first we have to get past the rediculousness of Judd constantly harassing Alex about some fire code or another when it comes to the bar. I'm not kidding. I swear the man drops by every other day to check on things. If I was Alex I would be supremely annoyed too, that is until things move from heated arguments to heated in the bedroom.

These two had no issues in the physical sense, but it took a bit longer for them to figure out their issues outside of it. It took them both being honest with one another and I just loved when they both realized this was way more than just a random fling. Speaking of flings, there is one from Alex's cousin Jett's past who I'm pretty positive has come back to haunt him and I cannot WAIT to find out more when book 3 Owning Jett comes out!
