A feel good single dad holiday read. When Jake sees the owner of his daughters dojo is struggling he cannot help but want to help. Mateo doesn't like to ask for help, but when the single dad of one of his students offers and explains it is not only to help but keep the place that has his daughter blossoming a safe place to be he cannot say no. These two have always been attracted yet don't want to interfere with Emersons life. When they become closer in the plans to save the dojo they can't help but grow closer.
Loved that Emerson was a main character of this story and not an afterthought as in some single dad romances. The couple makes sure she is comfortable and put first as it should be. With the right amount of balance of sexy times and building on their relationship that perfect balance in a shorter read.
