Love and Larceny by Anne Russo

This is the first installment of William and Ethan's love story. It's a second chance romance with a bit of thievery and high stakes thrown in. I have always found the mystery of the Isabella Gardner Museum art theft to be very interesting and the heist in this story had a lot of similarities, so I was pretty intrigued by that aspect.

From the blurb:

Ethan and William were once the perfect partners in crime, but their romantic relationship ended when Ethan had enough of their dangerous lifestyle. Six months later, William reappears on Ethan’s doorstep, bruised and desperate, needing Ethan’s help with one last heist -- on Christmas, no less -- to pay off a debt to a ruthless mob boss.

As the two embittered ex-lovers reluctantly plan an almost impossible art heist, sparks fly between them once again. But with so much history and heartbreak in the way, can they move beyond their complicated past to have a future together?

GreenwingReads review:

This is the first installment of William and Ethan's love story. It's a second chance romance with a bit of thievery and high stakes thrown in. I have always found the mystery of the Isabella Gardner Museum art theft to be very interesting and the heist in this story had a lot of similarities, so I was pretty intrigued by that aspect. I also enjoyed both William and Ethan's characters. They were dynamic and I could really understand how conflicted they were over their love for each other. Ethan has demons and needs someone he can trust and depend on. William loves Ethan, but he hasn't always been the man Ethan needs. Reading their story was a little bittersweet because I wanted to root for them to work things out, but I'm not convinced they're going to be able to make it work for the long haul. Can William really change and give Ethan the "normal" life he craves? Are they able to escape their life of crime after one last job? There are plenty of unanswered questions that I'll have to wait to find out from the next book!
