Bratva's Vow (Bratva's Undoing Book 2) by Gianni Holmes

Maxim and Wren are thoroughly in love, but Wren doesn't know that Maxim is the leader of the local Bratva and danger surrounds them. Maxim will do anything to keep Wren close and safe, even hold him against his will, and Wren has to come to terms with loving someone that has a very dark side.

From the blurb:

Monsters don’t let go of the ones they love.
They'll hunt you. They'll abduct you. They'll chain you to them.

It starts as an internship.
Becomes a summer fling.
Then it twists,
from the happiest moment of my life
into something dark.

Maxim Morozov is not just powerful.
Not just rich. Not just ruthless.
He's Bratva.

By the time his lies unravel, it’s too late.
He's already marked me as his.

Now I’m locked in his tower,
trapped behind security gates, watched by bodyguards,
loved too fiercely by a man who would destroy everything to keep me.

We have to face betrayal, bloodshed, and heartbreak.

But if I’ve learned anything, it’s this,
You don’t walk away from the devil.
Not when he’s decided you’re his.

Bratva's Vow is book 2 in the Bratva's Undoing series and concludes Maxim's and Wren's story. This book is not a stand-alone and must be read after Bratva's Intern.

SNik's review:

Second in series (Bratva’s Undoing), must be read in order. Mafia/hidden identity. Age gap. Boss/employee. Established couple. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.

Wren and Maxim are both fully committed to their new relationship, Wren will be starting school soon and leaving his internship, but he is still in the dark about Maxim’s hidden mafia life. Having a dangerous cinnamon roll that is beyond obsessed and protective of the man he would do anything for is always a compelling read.

Unfortunately, Wren and Maxim have to overcome the truth coming out about Maxim’s mafia ties, as well as survive someone that has it in for either Maxim, Wren, or them both. This story is filled with steamy interactions and strong emotions, both men relatable in their overwhelming feelings towards the other. More violence, more loyalties shown and questioned, and familiar and new characters kept the intrigue strong. An entertaining read, I enjoyed Maxim and Wren’s story and look forward to more from this series.
