The Saint brothers are back with more crime, mischief, murder and of course, love!
From the blurb:
Phoenix
My once carefree life—dancing, smiling, and never looking over my shoulder—ended the day I was kidnapped and held by a serial killer for three months. A part of me was certain I was never getting out of there alive…and then when I thought my end was near, I was rescued.
But the killer is still out there, and he wants me back.
The police and FBI are bound by red tape and procedures and because of that, my sister believes they can’t protect me…not like the Saint brothers can. Soon, I’m in a house filled with gorgeous, brilliant, dangerous men, and yet I feel safer than I ever have. Most of that has to do with a certain sunglass-wearing tech genius named Noel. For the first time since being rescued, I feel something toward someone, and I want to explore that.
Noel
I thought my brothers were idiots as I watched them each fall in love. I don’t want to be held down—I love my computers, freedom, and not having to answer to anyone. Then we take on a protection case and Phoenix Briar walks into my life. With a blink of his hazel eyes and barely there smile, I find myself willing to not just protect him but to do it at the cost of my life.
With the Broken Doll Killer on the loose and determined to get his perfect doll back, my brothers and I are in a race against time to keep Phoenix safe and to find his monster before he shatters whatever is left of Phoenix. I’m determined to give Phoenix the love he deserves…and the revenge he needs.
What’s Left of Me is book four in my Saint Brothers series. While it could be read as a standalone it is highly recommended you read Slay Ride, Kill Me Sweetly, and Mine to Keep first since characters from those books play a part in this story.
Angel's review:
I want to start by stating how much I LOVED the way this book started, it felt as though I got transported into a news broadcast that was happening in real time. The writing is truly impeccable, it's so detailed and has such an amazing flow to it. I was as horrified as the characters were when more details of what the killer did to his victims came to light, but also I loved getting to learn more of those intricate details while reading. It made what was going on much more reliable and lended a way to truly escape into this world with the Saint Brothers and the extended family.
I've enjoyed every book in this series, and while I think Shep's will always be my favorite, Noel and Phoenix are a close second. I just really enjoyed reading about them, the way they tried to figure each other out while still giving one another space. Noel was so gentle and caring (and protective) towards Phoenix and once they established a deeper romantic connection those feelings just grew strong. It was really adorable seeing him being so sweet and respectful towards Phoenix, I loved how their relationship developed, it was just done so well!!
I am a sucker for found family featuring in books and it's such a massive part of not only this book, but it's a big part of this series as a whole. All these people were brought together under awful circumstances but through that they gained a family that is theirs and will have their back no matter what, and that is such a beautiful thing.
What’s Left of Me is currently available as an e-book and paperback and can be read as part of your Kindle Unlimited Subscription
