By Cold Moon's Night (Moonlight Prophecies Book 4) by Amanda Meuwissen

This is the second book in the series for Bash and Ethan, but the last book in the series. One of the things Amanda does really well is world building and this series has been no different. Each story has its own unique action-filled plot, but also builds toward the ultimate climax for the series plot. There were plenty of twists throughout the series and in each story that I wasn't expecting.

From the By Cold Moon's Night blurb:

The harvest is ripe – for the old queen to conquer by Cold Moon's night

Newborn vampire Ethan Lambert and Alpha werewolf Bashir Bain may have been an unlikely domestic couple ever since one of Bash’s prophecies brought them together, but destiny isn’t done with them yet.

With shifter culture shaken by the sudden surge of unknown vampires in their midst and attempted takeovers by werewolf purists, neighboring packs are already on edge. When ancient vampire Alexa steps out of the shadows to make her return to the top of the food chain, the paranormal world teeters on the brink.

Can they solve the riddles of their hearts before this latest prophecy spells their doom? Saving their world might take priority, but to save their relationship, Bash will have to find a way to show Ethan how he feels that leaves no room for doubt.

GreenwingReads review:

I really liked Bash and Ethan in the first book, where their romance began. I was sad to leave them there since they were really just getting started. So I was very excited to see that Amanda revisited the couple here. They've grown closer and make a good team, but they have some relationship hurdles to cross, the big one being Bash's apparent inability to say the big L word.

I felt like this story focused a little more on their relationship and how they come into their own as partners than the first book about them did and I loved it. I also enjoyed that the book wasn't just about them. There are plenty of cameos and updates on the other characters from the series. After finishing the book, I felt like everyone was left in a good place, but also that the door was still, if not propped open at least left unlocked should Amanda ever choose to revisit the dynamic world she's built here.
