Is Atlas working for Chaos or Nature? Robin can't trust Atlas, but he needs his help to track down the man he has hunted for years, Atlas's twin brother. But Atlas has been keeping secrets, some that may change how the conflict between Chaos and Nature will end and whether Atlas and Robin can finally come together as fated mates.
From the blurb:
I was supposed to bring balance.
That’s what my name—Atlas—means.
It feels more like being torn apart.
Between good and evil, Nature and Chaos.
Always running after or from something.
Including a certain coyote shifter who wants to rip me limb from limb.
I’d rather he shred my kilt and do other things to me.
But alas, shouldering fate keeps getting in the way.
Or maybe I’ve got it all wrong.
Maybe he’s the only path to balance, to the future.
An end to the running.
But we’d have to trust each other first.
I’d rather tear myself apart than ever do that.
Atlas and the Traitor is a steamy, enemies-to-lovers M/M paranormal romance between a grumpy coyote shifter and an even grumpier warlock fated to run toward each other. It is book three of the Soul to Find series and is best enjoyed after the prior books in the series.
SNik's review:
Third in series (A Soul to Find), must be read in order. Paranormal. Enemies to lovers. Fated mates. Dual POV.
Atlas is a powerful and secretive warlock that has had a hidden agenda, as his family has been embroiled in the fight of Chaos versus Nature for years. Coyote shifter Robin can’t trust Atlas, but he’s determined to kill Atlas’s twin, even as he denies his attraction to Atlas.
Atlas and Robin are both full of guilt having done many things over the years that they regret as they cannot escape their involvement with the supernatural conflict between Chaos and Nature. There is plenty of action and obstacles that Atlas and Robin have to deal with, scenes with previous characters as the group tries to protect Nature, as well as flirty interactions that become steamy as Atlas and Robin accept that they are fated. This was an entertaining conclusion (?) to the series, I liked the adversarial back and forth between Atlas and Robin, only wishing for some more emotional connection, but as they were fated I still enjoyed their fall into a relationship.
